Mexico - Chiapas Highlands Microlot

This delicious microlot coffee comes from the northeast highlands of Chiapas and is a great example of what Mexico has to offer. Los Altos lies at an altitude of 1600-1850 MASL where rich deposits of marble stone cover the ground in shady primary forests - a lush and fertile area  that borders the Lacondona Jungle. 

Milk chocolatey sweetness is the name of the game with this one.  There is a lovely blend of cocoa, honey sweetness, red berry, stone fruits, and as it cools, a mild marzipan comes through. The finish reminded me a little of tea on top of a slight floral note.  It has a medium body and mouthfeel, and a medium level of acidity.  This tasty coffee goes down so easily as a daily drinker!  Enjoy!
