This is a classic example of a specialty Colombian washed process coffee from the Huila region. Close to the equator with rich volcanic soil, this region is celebrated for its high quality, often award winning coffee beans, and is known for producing delicate, sweet and fragrant coffee profiles.
The aroma of the dry beans is straight chocolate and caramel sweetness. The taste gives off rich milk chocolate notes layered with caramel, vanilla and almonds. There is a very subtle floral hint with adds complexity, along with a little citrus. It has a medium body and acidity which makes for a smooth and sweet mouthfeel. This coffee is so classic and versatile, it works well for crisp pour over, smooth filter, a velvety espresso, and even cold brew! Very hard to go wrong with this one!
